Miscreants hack 3 RAB men, whisk away alleged drug dealer

Miscreants injured three members of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) during an anti-drug drive and whisked away an alleged drug peddler in Raypura of Narsingdi on Tuesday night.

One of the injured was identified as Constable Imran Hossain, 35. The identity of the two other RAB members could not be confirmed.

The incident happened in the Sonakandi area of Nilokkha Union under Raypura Upazila at around 8am.

The man who was whisked away from the RAB was identified as Yunus Ali, 40. He was charged in a narcotics case.

According to police and locals, a joint team of Dhaka's RAB-1 and Narsingdi's RAB-11 went on an anti-drug drive in the Sonakandi area. They arrested Yunus Ali. After the arrest, Yunus Ali's supporters and family members created a barricade and attacked the RAB team, managing to whisk the man away.
