Massive fire breaks out in Mirpur-14 Baganbari slum

A massive fire broke out in the Baganbari slum area at Mirpur section-14 early on Thursday. Four firefighting units brought the fire under control.

Confirming the matter, Fire Service and Civil Defence duty officer Forhadul Islam said the fire broke out at around 12:30 am. On information, four firefighting units rushed to the spot. The fire was brought under control at around 1:20am.

The extent of damage and casualties could not be confirmed at the moment, he said.
