Crane from expressway falls on train track

A crane being used in the Dhaka Elevated Expressway construction fell on the track and cut off Dhaka's train connection with most of the country for more than an hour on Saturday.

The crane fell on the rail track between Karwan Bazar and Moghbazar at around 6:40am, Dhaka Railway Police Officer in Charge Ferdous Ahmed Bishwas confirmed.

"The crane being used in the construction of the elevated expressway fell on the train track at around 6:40am. Due to that, train connection between Dhaka and most of the rest of the country remained halted till 7:30am."

The crane was removed and train movement was resumed. No casualties or damages were reported in this incident.
