No terminal exams in class I - III

Primary and Mass Education Secretary Farid Ahmad announced that as of this year, children in classes I through III will not be required to take the first and second terminal examinations, as per a government decision.

During a news conference on Thursday at the secretariat, he informed reporters that the pupils' performance in the classes will be regularly assessed via apps.

He mentioned that an app has been created to assess the pupils. He noted that in addition to evaluating pupils based on their overall performance in school, the government is attempting to relieve the students of unnecessary burdens.

It should be noted that a new curriculum was introduced in 2023 for both primary and secondary education. 

The system will be implemented at class XII in 2027.
