7 flyovers on Dhaka-Gazipur route opened to traffic

Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has virtually inaugurated a total of seven flyovers under the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project on Dhaka-Gazipur route.

While opening the flyovers through connecting from his Secretariat on Sunday, the AL leader said it is a gift to the home-bound passengers from Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

The opening of the flyovers would definitely give relief to the home-bound passengers of greater Mymensingh area, he added

The flyovers are the Airport Flyover (Left Side), Airport Flyover (Right Side), Jasimuddin Flyover, U-Turn-1 Gazipura Flyover, U-Turn-2 Open University Flyover, Gazipur Bhogra Flyover and Gazipur Chowrasta Flyover.

Through the utilization of 100 articulated buses per hour, the BRT project seeks to reduce traffic congestion on the Dhaka-Mymensingh route, carrying 25,000 passengers.
