Court summons Pori Moni in assault case

A Dhaka court has summoned actress Pori Moni and Junayed Bogdadi Jimmy alias Jim in a case filed by businessman Nasir Uddin Mahmud on the charges of vandalizing, threatening and attempting to murder him.

Dhaka Senior Judicial Magistrate Saiful Islam passed the order on Thursday, allowing a plea of the plaintiff. 

The court fixed June 25 for the two accused to appear before it.

Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) have found evidences against the two accused - Pori Moni and Jimmy and they recently filed its report before the court.

They, however, gave clean chit to another accused Fatema Tuz Jannat Bonny.

On July 6, 2022, Nasir Uddin Mahmud filed the case against three, including Pori Moni for vandalizing Dhaka Boat Club on June 9, 2021.

They also threatened him after boozing there without paying the bills and attempting to murder him.
