Bus crashes into HSIA third terminal, engineer dies

A passenger bus crashed into the third terminal of the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) in Dhaka on Friday. A senior engineer of the Civil Aviation Authority died in the accident. He was identified as Maidul Islam Siddique. 

Confirming the matter, Airport Police Station Sub-Inspector Sumon Chandra Das said, a  Raida Paribahan bus lost control at around 10am on Friday and crashed through the boundary wall around the third terminal.

Maidul Islam Siddique was passing the area on a motorcycle at that time. His vehicle was crushed under the wheels of the bus. He was rushed to the Kurmitola General Hospital in critical condition where the duty doctor declared him dead. The engineer's body will be sent to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue. 

The bus was seized. However, the driver and his assistant fled the scene. Legal measures will be taken in this incident.
