Heat wave alert extended for next 72 hrs

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has again issued country-wide fresh heat wave alert message for the next 72 hours.

"The prevailing heat wave over the country may continue for next 72 hours commencing from Thursday (April 25),"  reads the alert.

In the latest heat wave alert Meteorologist M Shaheenul Islam said due to increase moisture incursion, the discomfort may increase.

Earlier, the BMD had issued 72 hours heat wave alert messages for two times since last Friday (April 19).
