Pass rate highest in Jashore, lowest in Sylhet

The pass rate for the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent exams in 2024 was the highest in the Jashore board and the lowest in the Sylhet board. 

After unveiling the results, the pass rate of the Jashore board was found to be 92.32 per cent and the Sylhet board 73.35 per cent. 

Meanwhile, the pass rate of Dhaka board was 89.32 per cent, Rajshahi 89.25 per cent, Cumilla 79.23 per cent, Chattogram 82.8 per cent, Barishal 89.13 per cent, Dinajpur 78.40 per cent, and Mymensingh 84.97 per cent. 

On Sunday (May 12) morning, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina unveiled the results virtually by pressing a button at a function at her official residence Ganabhaban at around 11am. 

Before that, Education Minister Mohibul Hassan Chowdhury handed over the combined result statistics of the SSC and equivalent examinations to the premier. 

The chairmen of 11 education boards - nine general, one madrasa and one technical - also handed over the result statistics of their respective boards to the prime minister.

The results were be published at the respective educational institutions and online simultaneously around 11am.

Students can get their results through SMS after the official announcement.

They can also get their results by visiting the website www.educationboardresults.gov.bd.

Around 20, 24,192 students from 29,735 educational institutions appeared in the SSC and equivalent examinations at 3,700 centres.

Starting on February 15, the exams concluded on March 12.
