Home minister declines to comment

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has declined to comment on the sanctions placed by the United States on former General Aziz Ahmed, previously Chief of the Bangladesh Army Staff. 

He made the remarks while talking to reporters after a Cabinet Committee on Government Purchase (CCGP) meeting at the Bangladesh Secretariat on Tuesday. 

When asked about the sanctions placed on Aziz Ahmed, the minister said, "I have no comments regarding the matter. The reasons for the sanction have not reached me yet. I have only heard about a notification. I cannot answer without knowing in detail about it."
