MP Azim's daughter files abduction case

A case has been filed at the Sherebangla Nagar police station of the capital on the allegation of kidnapping Anwarul Azim Anar, Member of Parliament of Jhenaidah-4 Constituency. Unknown persons have been accused in the case.

MP Anar's daughter Mumtarin Ferdous filed the case as the plaintiff on Wednesday evening, said Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station Md Ahad.

He said, “The body of Anwarul Azim Anar has not been recovered yet. We still don't know what happened to him. Due to this, a case of kidnapping has been filed.”

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Tejgaon Division Deputy Commissioner (DC) HM Azimul Haque said the case was registered in the evening.

He said, “The daughter of the Member of Parliament has filed a case of kidnapping. Now the accused will be brought under the justice after investigation.”
