Yunus’s bail extended in labour law violation case

A special court in Dhaka has extended till July 4 the period of bail granted to Grameen Telecom Chairman and Nobel Laureate Dr Muhammad Yunus in a case filed against him and three others for violating labour law.

Advocate Abdullah Al Mamun confirmed the matter on Thursday. The Labour Appellate Tribunal passed the order as Dr Muhammad Yunus appeared before the court.

The tribunal previously granted bail to Dr Yunus till 23 May on 16 April.
