Cyclone Remal: Mongla, Payra ports asked to hoist danger signal 7

Maritime ports of Mongla and Payra have been advised to hoist danger Signal 7 while Cox's Bazar and Teknaf have been asked to hoist danger Signal 6 as cyclonic storm "Remal" has intensified into a cyclonic storm over the Bay of Bengal.

Director of Bangladesh Meteorological Department Azizur Rahman told The Daily Samakal that the low pressure turned into a cyclonic storm around 7 pm on Saturday.

It is reported that the cyclonic storm will cross the coast anywhere between Digha in West Bengal of India and Patuakhali in Bangladesh. 

However, Satkhira, Khulna and Bagerhat in Bangladesh are at the highest risk.
