Court orders to confiscate ex-IGP Benazir’s 119 more properties

A Dhaka court has ordered the authorities concerned to confiscate 119 more properties of former IGP Benazir Ahmed and his family members.

Judge Mohammad Ash-Shams Joglul Hossain of the Metropolitan Senior Special Judge's Court of Dhaka passed the order on Sunday.

Anti-Corruption Commission Public Prosecutor Mahmud Hossain Jahangir confirmed the order of confiscation of the former IGP's assets in connection with corruption allegations.

Md Hafizul Islam, ACC deputy director, also the inquiry official on the matter, placed an plea to the court in this regard.

Benazir and his family persons bought four flats in Gulshan, eight companies, and 15 companies partially.
