Cyclone Remal weakens into deep depression over Jashore

The severe cyclonic storm Remal over Koyra, Khulna, moved Northwards, weakened first into a cyclonic storm and then a land deep depression over Jashore, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department said in a special weather bulletin on Monday. 

According to the Special Weather Bulletin No. 19,  the land deep depression is likely to move further Northeastwards and gradually weaken into a land depression through precipitation. 

Maritime ports of Payra and Mongla have been advised to lower Danger Signal No. Ten and hoist Local Cautionary Signal No. Three (R) Three. 

Meanwhile, maritime ports of Cox's Bazar and Chattogram were advised to Lower Danger Signal No. Nine and hoist  Local Cautionary Signal No. Three (R) Three. 

All fishing boats and trawlers over the North Bay were advised to remain in shelter till Tuesday (28 May) morning and then proceed with caution. 

No further special weather bulletin will be issued regarding Cyclone Remal, the BMD added.
