BO accounts of Benazir, wife and children frozen

The Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) ordered a freeze on the BO accounts of former Inspector General of Police (IGP) Benazir Ahmed, as well as the accounts of his wife and children on Monday. 

After BSEC's order on Monday, the Central Depository Bangladesh Limited (CDBL) froze the accounts of Benazir, his wife Jishan Mirza, their eldest daughter Farhin Rishta Binte Benazir, and younger daughter Tahsin Raisa Binte Benazir, on Tuesday (28 May)

In April, The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) formed a probe body to perform an inquiry into the graft allegations surfaced against Benazir. 

This month, the Dhaka court ordered a freeze on 33 bank accounts and attached properties under a total of 83 deeds of Benazir. The court also ordered the authorities concerned to confiscate 119 more properties of the former IGP.
