Prices of goods, services may go up and down

Prices of some products and services may go up and down following changes to tariff in the proposed budget (FY25).

Finance Minister A H Mahmood Ali placed the budget in Jatiya Sangsad on Thursday afternoon. 

There might be decrease in the prices of different products and services, including 

The prices of different products and services that might be decreased are as follows: 

Rice, edible oil, sugar, chickpeas, milk, wheat, aircraft engines, propellers, powdered milk, motorcycle, dengue test kits, dialysis filters and dialysis circuit products, cancer treatment equipments, carpets, electric motor and laptop.  

On the other hand, the prices of different products and services that might be increased are as follows:

Phone and internet services, furnace oil, lubricants, mineral lubricants, base oil, cigarettes, CNG conversion kits, and cylinders, Air conditioners and refrigerators, water filter, LED bulb, imported cashew nuts, ice cream, carbonated beverages, amusement parks, theme parks, and tourism services.
