Car accident kills 2, injures 3 in the capital

Two people were killed and three others were injured when a private car lost control in front of the Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC) in Agargaon of the capital shortly after midnight on Monday. 

The deceased were identified as Reza Rabbi, 28, and Mohammad Rasel, 30. The three injured are Ratul, 27, Sagor, 28, and Biplab, 30. 

Confirming the matter, Kafrul Police Station Sub-Inspector Jahirul Islam said, five people were on board the private car going from Mirpur sector no. 10 to Farmgate. The car lost control when it reached the road opposite BICC. The incident injured all five critically. They were taken to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where the duty doctor declared two of them dead. The three others are receiving treatment there. 

The bodies of the deceased are kept at the DMCH morgue for autopsy, police said.
