Shahbagh blocked again demanding cancellation of quota

Hundreds of students blocked Shahbagh intersection in the capital on Thursday afternoon for the second consecutive day, protesting quota reinstatement in government jobs.

Around 3:45 pm, the demonstrators congregated at the busy intersection and began chanting slogans.

Vehicular movement on the routes from Shahbagh to Bangla Motor, Shahbagh to Science Lab, and Shahbagh to Kakrail stopped as a result of the obstruction.

The students were demanding restoration of 2018 circular that abolished quota system.

They also expressed determination to continue their protest until the cancellation of the quota system.
