38 gold bars found abandoned at Dhaka airport

A total of 38 pieces of gold bars weighing 4.420 kilograms were seized in an abandoned state after searching a plane at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) in the city on Wednesday.

The members of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Department (CIID made the seizure of the gold bars.

Sources said that the estimated market value of the recovered gold bar is around Tk 4.5 crore.

CIID circle Assistant Director Pradeep Kumar Sarkar said the seized gold has been deposited to Dhaka Customs House.
