National Moon Sighting Committee to meet Saturday

A meeting of the National Moon Sighting Committee will be held on Saturday to fix the date of the holy Ashura, after reviewing reports on the moon's appearance in the month of Muharram of 1446 Hijri.

The meeting will be held at the Islamic Foundation (IF) Conference Room at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque at 7:15pm, according to a press release.

State Minister for Religious Affairs and National Moon Sighting Committee President M Faridul Huq Khan will chair the meeting, according to the release.
