Khaleda Zia hospitalised early on Monday

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia was admitted to the Evercare Hospital in the Bashundhara area of the capital at 4:12 am on Monday.

Shayrul Kabir Khan, a member of BNP's media cell, confirmed the matter to the Daily Samakal. 

Citing Khaleda Zia's doctor A ZM Zahid Hossain, Shayrul Kabir said Khaleda Zia suddenly became ill at around 3am. She was then taken to the hospital in an ambulance. 

Earlier on 22 June, Khaleda Zia was admitted to the CCU unit of the Evercare Hospital. A pacemaker was later implanted in her body. She returned home on 2 July. 

Khaleda Zia has been suffering from various ailments, including liver cirrhosis, arthritis, diabetes, and issues related to the kidney, lung, heart, and eyes.
