Police clash with students at Comilla University, 20 injured

Police clashed with agitating students of University of Comilla (CoU) who are staging protest blocking roads and railways for quota reform in government jobs.

The incident took place on the road in front of the Directorate of Archeology building adjacent to the university around 3:30 pm on Thursday.

During the clashes, the police dispersed the students by firing blank bullets and tear shells.  At least 20 students were injured in the incident.

The injured students were rescued and sent to Comilla Medical College Hospital for medical treatment.
