Court scraps bail plea of four in PSC question leak case

A Dhaka court has rejected the bail petitions of four accused, including Syed Abed Ali, former driver of the Public Service Commission (PSC), in a case filed over leaking of question paper of different PSC exams.

The bail pleas filed by Khalilur Rahman, Abu Solaiman Md Sohel and Liton Sarkar were also rejected.

The Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (ACMM) Tofazzal Hossain passed the order on Thursday.

On July 9, police arrested a total of 17 accused in the case. Of them, six including Syed Abed Ali later gave confessional statements in the case.

A case was filed against 31 and 50/60 unnamed accused by CID Sub-Inspector Nippan Chandra Das on July 8 with the capital’s Paltan Police Station.
