Quader meets with protesting teachers

Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport Minister Obaidul Quader is holding a meeting with teachers of public universities demanding the scrapping of the Prottoy universal pension scheme.

The meeting began at the Awami League president's Dhanmondi office at 11:30am on Saturday.

A delegation of at least 10 teachers protest leaders, including Federation of Bangladesh University Teachers' Association Convenor Akhtarul Islam and General Secretary Nizamul Hoque Bhuiyan, are attending the meeting.

State Minister for Education Shamsun Naher and Awami League Office Secretary and Personal Secretary to the Prime Minister Biplab Barua were also present in the meet.

The Awami League said the details of the meeting would be available after meeting.
