Protesters gather at Raju sculpture

Students demanding quota system reform held a demonstration at the Raju Memorial Sculpture at the Dhaka University campus at noon on Monday. 

Meanwhile, the Bangladesh Chhatro League has announced a programme at the same venue at 3pm protesting the insult to the spirit of the Liberation War. 

On Sunday midnight, quota system protesters staged a demonstration for around 2 hours at the Dhaka University campus, claiming they were slandered. The demonstration came as a reaction to the prime minister's remarks at a press conference on Sunday. 

Students claimed that if the remarks are not withdrawn by Monday noon, they would start a tougher movement.
