3 killed in quota protesters-BCL clash in Chattogram

Three people were killed during a clash between the quota protesters and activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League in Chattogram city on Tuesday afternoon.

One of the victims was identified as a student of Chattogram College, said Chattogram Metropolitan Police Commissioner Saiful Islam.

Two of the victims have been identified as Md Faruq, 32, and Md Wasim, 22. 

Faruq was an employee of a furniture shop and Wasim was a student of Chittagong College. Wasim was also joint convener of Chhatra Dal unit of Chittagong College. 

The identity of the rest one, age around 24, is not identified. He sustained bullet injuries on his back. 

On the other hand, Faruq was shot in the chest.

Meanwhile, two students of Chattagram University who were injured in the clashes have been admitted to Chittagong Medical College Hospital. The injured are Mahbub, 22, of Computer Science Department and Mainul Haque, 23, of Islamic Studies Department.
