RU closed until further order

Rajshahi University (RU) has been closed under further order and its students were asked to vacate their dormitories by 12 pm Wednesday.

A press release issued by the public relation office of the public university last midnight said the closure decision has been taken taking the security issue of the students into special consideration.

The decision was taken in an emergency meeting of the syndicate, the highest policy making body of the country's second largest university, as per the government decision last night.

All the residential students have been asked to leave their dormitories by 12 noon, the release added.
