Students will get justice in court, hopes PM

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has requested to keep patient until the highest court issues order regarding the quota system in government jobs.

The Prime Minister made this appeal while addressing the nation on Wednesday (17 July) at 7:30pm.

She came up with the national address following the deaths of six people, including students, amid clashes between quota reform protesters, police, and the ruling party's student wing, Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL). 

She hoped that the protesting students might get right order from the apex court.

The address was broadcast simultaneously on Bangladesh Television, Bangladesh Betar, and various private TV channels and radio stations.

Hasina has said that a judicial probe body will be formed to probe into the death incidents caused during the quota reform movement.

Six people were killed across the country during clashes over quota  issues on Wednesday.
