Govt in favor of quota reforms: Law Minister Anisul

Law Minister Anisul Huq said the government is in favor of quota reform.

He called upon the students to withdraw their ongoing movement.

The law minister made the statement at a press conference on the current situation on Thursday.

He said, “I have urged the Attorney General to appeal to the court next Sunday for the hearing of the case, so that the hearing can be brought forward.”

Calling upon the students to withdraw the movement, the law minister said, “As like father, I am requesting you to withdraw the movement.”

When asked, do you agree on the quota reform or not, the law minister said, "We agree with the quota protesters in principle on the quota reform issue."
