Quota protesters place four demands, including curfew withdrawal

A section of the anti-discrimination student movement has given a two-day ultimatum to the government to realise four-point demands, including the immediate lifting of curfew and the full operation of the Internet.

If the demands are not met within the stipulated time, they will take up a new program, quota protest movement's coordinator Sarjis Alam made the announcement at a press conference at the Dhaka Reporters Unity Auditorium on Tuesday afternoon.

On the other hand, another part of the organisation will carry out mass communication and sit-in programs in homes and streets by tying black cloths on their faces on Wednesday to realise its 9-point demand.

Announcing the program,  Sarjis Alam said that the internet should be activated, curfew should be lifted, the law enforcing members should be removed from the universities, and the campuses should be reopened to ensure the learning environment and the security of the coordinators of the movement should be ensured.
