Passenger trains to run from Thursday

The Bangladesh Railway (BR) authorities have decided to operate passenger trains from Thursday.

Sources at BR said the commuter trains on Dhaka-Narayanganj, Dhaka-Gazipur and Dhaka-Tangail routes will run Thursday.

The commuter trains will run when the curfew is relaxed, said the railway authorities.

Officials also said preparations are underway to run some intercity trains from next Friday.

The sources added that the trains can run in two directions in the western part of the railway (Rajshahi, Rangpur and Khulna divisions).

Commuter trains will run between Rajshahi-Chapainawabganj and Lalmonirhat-Burimari.
