Writ seeks HC direction to stop shooting on protesters

A writ petition has been filed with the High Court on Monday seeking directions to stop shooting on protesters involved in the Quota Reform Movement.

The same writ petition also seeks the court's direction on releasing the six coordinators of the movement from DB police custody. The hearing on the writ was scheduled for noon on Monday. 

Lawyers Manzur Al Matin Pritam and Ainunnahar Siddika Lipi filed the writ with the High Court bench led by Justice Khurshid Alam Sarkar.
