AB Party leader Monju put on remand in subversion case

Amra Bangladesh (AB) Party member secretary Mojibur Rahman Monju has been placed on a five-day remand in a subversion case filed with Dhanmandi Police Station.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Rajesh Chowdhury passed the order on Wednesday.

Earlier in the day, police produced Monju before the court and pleaded to place him on a seven-day remand.

Sub-inspector (SI) Md Kamrul Islam of Dhanmandi Police Station filed the case against around 400 people on July 21.

On early July 30, Monju was detained from his relative's home in Mirpur DOHS area. He was later showed arrested in the case.
