Uni teachers, staff removed from 'Prottoy' pension scheme

University teachers and staff were withdrawn from the 'Prottoy' universal pension scheme. 

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina approved the summary of the withdrawal on Saturday (3 August), MA Khair, public relations officer for the Ministry of Education confirmed. 

The university teachers were staging demonstrations against their inclusion in the Prottoy category under the universal pension scheme.
