Education Minister’s residence attacked, vandalised

The residence of Education Minister Mohibul Hassan Chowdhoury has been vandalised allegedly by a section of protesters.

The incident took place Chattogram city's Sholoshahar area on Saturday evening.

Chittagong Metropolitan Police Additional Police Commissioner (ADC) Tarek Aziz said two cars parked nearby residence have been vandalised in the attack. 

They also vandalized some furniture and windows during the attack around 6:30pm, he added.

Mohibul Hassan Chowdhoury is the eldest son of Awami politician ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury, a former mayor of Chattogram.

This is the first such attack on Mohiuddin Chowdhury's house in 53 years of independence.
