A K M Shahidur Rahman made RAB DG, Mainul Hasan DMP Commissioner

Additional Inspector General of Police (AIG) A K M Shahidur Rahman has been appointed as the new director general (DG) of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), the elite force of Bangladesh Police.

Meanwhile, CID Deputy Inspector General Mainul Hasan was appointed as DMP Commissioner. 

The appointments were confirmed in a gazette notification, signed by Md Mahbubur Rahman Sheikh, deputy secretary of the Ministry of Home, issued Wednesday. 

The police headquarters also got two new additional inspector generals (AIG) of police.

As per the notification, Barrister Md Harun-Ar-Rashid and Habibur Rahman have been appointed as the additional inspector general (AIG) of the police headquarters in Dhaka.
