Dr Yunus arrives in Dhaka

Nobel Laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus, who is set to become the chief adviser to the interim government, has arrived in Bangladesh. 

Dr Yunus arrived at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, Dhaka on an Emirates flight at 2:10pm on Thursday (8 August). 

Six coordinators of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, as well as the chiefs of the three armed forces, arrived at the airport to receive Dr Yunus. Strict security measures were taken at the airport ahead of his arrival.
