29 DMP police stations resume operations

Regular operations have started at 29 police stations under the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP). Under the protection of army members, police members joined work from Friday. 

All the police stations which opened Friday were the ones less affected or unaffected by the recent attacks. Among them are- Gulshan, Tejgaon, Ramna, Kalabagan, Dhanmondi, Hazaribagh, Kotowali, Chakbazar, Sutrapur, Demra, Gendaria, Motijheel, Sobujbagh, Shahjahanpur, Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Hatirjheel, Shah Ali, Kafrul, Bhasantek, Darus Salam, Rupnagar, Canttonment, Banani, Uttara West, Uttarkhan, and Airport Police Stations. 

Meanwhile, some police stations were vandalized and burned. So even though police members joined today, those police stations could not be opened. As a result, 21 DMP police stations remain closed.
