CJ Obaidul Hasan resigns

Supreme Court (SC) Appellate Division Chief Justice (CJ) Obaidul Hasan has resigned on Saturday afternoon.

Earlier in the day, he said that he will submit his resignation letter to the President after completing some formalities. He was talking to the newsmen present at the Supreme Court premises this afternoon.

Lawyers including hundreds of protestors of the anti-discrimination student movement took position at the SC premises from this morning demanding the resignation of the judges of the Appellate Division including CJ Obaidul Hasan.
