Dhaka Elevated Expressway resumes operation

Dhaka Elevated Expressway has started its operation again from 3pm on Sunday, said manager (operations and maintenance) of First Dhaka Elevated Expressway Company Ltd (FDEE) Captain (retd) Hasib Hasan Khan.

However, the entry ramps at Banani and Mohakhali and an exit ramp at FDC (Karwan Bazar) will remain closed.

The starting of toll collection from vehicles began at airport ramp from 3:00pm, he added. 

Miscreants torched Banani toll booth on July 18 and the Mohakhali toll booth the following day during the quota reform movement. 

Later, the expressway's operations have been suspended formally since July 18.
