Politics banned at KUET

The authorities of Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) have banned politics of teachers, students and employees on the campus.

KUET registrar Anisur Rahman Bhuiyan said in a press release that the decision was taken at an emergency syndicate meeting at KUET on Sunday.

The meeting also banned any political meeting, rally and gathering at the KUET, says the release, adding that the decision was taken under KUET Act-2003.

Teachers, students and employees could not affiliate with any associate bodies of political parties.

It warned that legal action will be taken against the act violators.
