Ex-senior secretary Shah Kamal arrested

A team of Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested former senior secretary Shah Kamal from the city's Mohakhali area.

Additional Deputy Commissioner of Public Relations and Media Wing of the DMP M Obaidur Rahman told the journalists that Shah Kamal, former senior secretary to the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief, was arrested from a house located in Mohakhali DOHS area of the capital Saturday night.

On Friday, the DMP conducted a raid at a house of Kamal on Babar Road in the city's Mohammadpur area.

Then they recovered cash worth around Tk3.11 crore, including foreign currencies.
