Govt withdraws SPs from 10 districts

A total of 11 police officials, including Superintendents of Police (SPs) were withdrawn from their respective workplaces. 

According to a home ministry release issued Wednesday, Superintendents of Police from Chattogram, Kishoreganj, Manikganj, Bagerhat, Magura, Natore, Sirajganj, Gaibandha, Habiganj, and Patuakhali were withdrawn from their workstations. Additionally, a deputy commissioner from Sylhet Metropolitan Police was transferred to the post of Superintendent of Police at Rajshahi Range. 

The changes became effective immediately, the release said. 

Previously, Deputy Inspector Generals of Police (DIG) of seven ranges of police and Police Commissioners of five metropolitan cities were also transferred.
