Journo couple Shakil-Rupa on 4-day remand

A Dhaka court on Thursday placed Ekattor Television's former head of news Shakil Ahmed and chief reporter Farzana Rupa on a four-day remand in connection with the murder case of garment worker Fazlul Karim.

The duo was taken before the court and police pleaded for a 10-day remand for the sake of proper investigation.

Following a short hearing, the court ordered to place the couple on a 4-day remand each.

Earlier on Wednesday, they were detained at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka while they were trying to leave the country for Paris.
