UK provides £33,000 to Bangladesh flood victims

The United Kingdom (UK) has declared to provide £33,000 of immediate humanitarian assistance in Bangladesh to support people affected by severe flooding in Feni, Khagrachari and Noakhali, said a press release of British High Commission in Dhaka on Monday.

The aid will provide vital search and rescue, food, cash transfers, clean water, sanitation and hygiene supplies, it said.   

The release added that the aid will be implemented by Start Fund Bangladesh and Save the Children International.
