Gazi Tyre factory fire under control

The devastating fire at Gazi Tire Factory in Rupganj Upazila of Narayanganj owned by former jute and textile minister and local MP Golam Dastagir has been brought under control.

The fire came under control at 7:50 pm on Monday, said Fire Service Media Cell Officer Talha Bin Jasim.

A fire broke out in the factory around 10:30 pm on Sunday.

A total of 12 units of fire service put frantic efforts to douse the blaze, said Jasim.

Some 176 people went missing in the factory building fire, claimed the relatives of the victims.
