Biman board of directors reformed

The board of directors of Biman Bangladesh Airlines has been reconstituted.

According to a press release of Civil Aviation and Tourism Affairs Ministry, the reform was made public in a gazette notification on Tuesday.

A mix of high-ranking government officials and distinguished figures from various sectors were included in the restructured board.

Former adviser to the caretaker government Abdul Muyeed Chowdhury was made chairman of the board of directors of Biman.

The other people in the 13-member Biman board included high officials including secretary of civil aviation ministry, secretary of finance division at finance ministry, chairman of national board of revenue, secretary of chief adviser's office, chairman of Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh, engineer-in-chief of Bangladesh Army and Biman's managing director and CEO.
