Former minister Tipu Munshi arrested

Former commerce minister Tipu Munshi was arrested from Dhaka's Gulshan area in connection with a murder case. 

Confirming the matter, RAB Headquarters press wing ASP Imran Khan said the former minister was arrested at around 1:10am on Thursday. 

A clash broke out in Rangpur between police and Awami League leaders and activists during the quota reform movement. A goldsmith named Muslim Uddin Milon died in the clash. A case was filed in connection with his death against 17 people including Tipu Munshi on 20 August. He was arrested in connection with this case.
