208 headmasters appointed in Upazila govt primary schools

Ministry of Primary and Mass Education has appointed 208 headmasters in the upazila and thana-based government primary schools on a temporary basis.

“The appointment was given in the vacant posts following the recommendations by the Ministry of Public Administration”, according to a primary and mass education ministry release received Sunday.

The appointment of headmasters (untrained) in second-class non-cadre posts has been given to those candidates who already passed in 40th BCS exams but had not been recommended for cadres services due to a shortage of the posts.

The newly appointed teachers have been asked to join their respective working places by September 15, otherwise, the appointment order will be cancelled, according to the gazette notification shown on the primary and mass education ministry’s website.

Earlier, the primary and mass education ministry issued a gazette notification similar to it on August 29.
